I work for the Office of Strategic Initiatives as a programmer, as well as within the Office of eLearning. I provide support for the online courses offered in Desire2Learn, and dabble in instructional design as new courses are developed as well. I also build custom, in-house applications, and am responsible for tracking and reporting data in multiple areas for the University. I also teach as an adjunct in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
I am a 2009 graduate of Wilkes University with dual bachelor of science degrees in computer science and mathematics and a minor in computer information systems. I completed my Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management in August 2013.
As a student, I managed the servers, computer labs, and network for four years for the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. I developed Course Rosters, an interface to Banner, which is utilized by over 600 faculty/staff members per year. I also created a web application to automate freshman orientation tasks and designed a new registration process to schedule 500+ incoming freshman for their fall semester with a program, based upon major, transcripts, preferences, placement tests, and other special scheduling needs.
This is my skydive from May 1, 2010 at Endless Mountain Skydivers in Tunkhannock. Their acronym, EMS, was very reassuring. I don't remember what we talked about for the minute while the guy is setting up on the plane, but it was probably on the subject of how not to die. Click here to view it.
